Spring how I miss you

I really really am in love with this bracelet right now. I have to be honest, I think it's mainly because it makes me think of Spring, and I can't even express how much I'm looking forward to warmer weather.

Next week that groundhog better predict an early Spring!!

I Heart You

So maybe this seems like a morbid take on love, but I think this is so cute.
Or maybe it's just because I love this whole shop, mainly because of the mustaches they make.
Hmm . . . I've seen these before :)

(PS the pink one can be found at Red Velvet Art)

cute.n.boot & a DIY!

Recently I ordered some cards from cute.n.boot that are so adorable!! My favorite one is of the vintage sewing machine that says "I'm sew into you." It would have been so perfect as a thank you note to Karim for making my sewing table, but sadly I found the cards after that thank you card was already sent!
PS yesterday on Elsie Flannigan's blog she had a "blog party" with lots of guest bloggers, giveaways and DIYs. I really loved this one and decided to go home last night and make one for Karim using pictures, scrapbook supplies and magazine clippings I've been collecting. It turned out so cute I love it :) The DIY is by Silje from Little Bird Crafts. She is a super cute girl and has an adorable chihuahua too!

And here are some of my favorite handmade goodies from Etsy right now!

This Kawaii Eskimo Kids pouch. I ordered one from this shop for my camera a couple of years ago and love it, but it's white so getting a little dingy from being in my purse. I could probably just wash it, but then I wouldn't have an excuse to buy another!

Jewelry from Jill Popowich. It is all so pretty, and I love that she is a local artist for me since she lives in Baltimore. These two necklaces are my favorites.

This pearl bracelet with ballet dancers charm (I'm loving my dance class these days! I do lyrical and not ballet, but there are elements of ballet and I think it's such a pretty form of dance)

And this Smiling Pit Bull necklace. It's so cute and $10 from each necklace will be donated to a shelter!!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

Vera Meat

I was reading the most recent issue of Shape Magazine and came across the article featuring Katherine McPhee. Side note - she looks so incredibly different with short blonde hair! But back to the article, she listed five of her favorite things. One of them is the Dual Mini Knuckle Duster from Vera Meat.
I went to the website and their jewelry is awesome! You can also find Vera Meat on Etsy, so the jewelry is handmade. There are lots of options for materials including silver, copper and brass, which adds to the versatility of the jewelry.

I think my favorite piece right now is the Terrier Face ring.

PS, if you enter the code SHAPE into her website at checkout, you'll get 25% off! Happy shopping!

Giveaway from The Dainty Squid!!

The Dainty Squid is doing an awesome giveaway right now! You can find it on her blog! She is giving away the adorable coin purses in the picture. All you have to do is go to her blog and leave a comment with your favorite animal. Of course I had to pick dogs :)
PS you can find The Dainty Squid's shop on Etsy too for more awesome coin purses, pouches, mirrors and other neat things!

Amazing!

I came across a new (to me) Etsy shop recently and needless to say I'm in love! It's called lovinganvil. There are so many amazing rings! It was my new year's resolution to stop shopping online so I resisted buying anything. Well, I got my 2009 year end bonus from work yesterday so I decided to treat myself to the rings I've been eyeing up. Here they are!

This green one is the one that got me first. I just love it.

My favorite part of the wood heart ring is that the back is stamped with "Knock on Wood"
Also, their location is listed as "a refurbished hog farm in southern Maine." Love that!! Go check it out :)

New Indie Shop Discovery!

Recently while browsing the New Arrivals section on the Shana Logic website, I noticed a new company called Locketship. The description of the company from Shana Logic is:

Shana Logic is super-excited to introduce you to the couture jewelry collection by Locketship! Each piece is hand-crafted with love and is an incredible mixture of cuteness & extravagance!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Their jewelry can also be purchased directly from their website. So cute :)

Miss Marc

I've been really enjoying the "Miss Marc" collection from Marc by Marc Jacobs lately. I've actually been liking a lot of his latest collections. His pieces are so fun.
These necklace and earring sets are my favorite. All pieces can be found at Nordstrom.
Also, speaking of Marc Jacobs, I adore this Lola solid fragrance ring. I actually just ordered it from Sephora. I'm so excited to get it and try it on! I'll post pictures when it gets here!
I hope everyone is staying warm! It's tough here in Maryland, but I'm trying to make the best of it :)

New Links!

You may have noticed some new links near the bottom of the right side of the page. I decided to link to a few blogs that I enjoy reading.

The first one is probably my favorite blog. It's called A Beautiful Mess and it's written by Elsie Flannigan. She also has the online shop Red Velvet Art. I love their website and actually have blogged about it in the past. She is so creative, it seems almost impossible not to be inspired daily by her posts.

The second is The Dainty Squid. I think I first found out about this blog and Etsy shop via the A Beautiful Mess blog. I've found out about some really cute new sites from this blog, and I generally just enjoy reading about this life of someone who's making their living by being a seamstress and selling their goods on Etsy. Also inspiring. PS I've ordered two pouches from this shop and they are so adorable.

The third is a new blog that I just recently came across. It's called Skunkboy Creatures and there are equally cute and whimsical things there. Her Etsy shop is also really cute!

If you get a chance you should check them out! Let me know what you think of them :)
