Lily loves snuggling

I think it's a dachshund thing for sure, and maybe just a dog thing. Lily loves to be as close as possible to anyone she can. She loves to be warm and she will do whatever it takes to get that way. Karim was laying down and Lily used everything she had to wedge her way under his arm. It was pretty adorable, if I do say so myself!

Lily on the Etsy Veg Blog!

I'm excited to share that Lily is featured as the pet of the week on the Etsy Veg Blog!! A few weeks ago I completed the interview and sent it in. I'm so happy to see it get posted! I'm sure Lily will be very pleased to hear about it too :)

PS moving day is this weekend! I can't believe it snuck up so quickly! Let's see how Lily reacts. It should be interesting to say the least.

It's my dream

I tried to get her to wear her devil Halloween costume. She was not amused.And with the raincoat, she just sat there like I was torturing her. Miraculously, I managed to get this picture before she ripped the Snuggie completely off.She likes being naked, what can I say? :)

Shop Update!

I just got done listing a few new cards in my shop! Of course it's another batch of Lily cards :)

The Etsy Teams are all being reformatted so it's renewing my motivation to start being more diligent about the shop. Hopefully the momentum keeps going!

The dachshund team has a new blog! It's a good way for the sellers to show what they're working on and to show off their doxies too!

Lily got to spend some quality time with her boyfriend, Goober, over the weekend. We were at the Howard County Fairgrounds for a huge craft show. We made a lot of money for the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue! Yay! Of course Lily and Goober aka the odd couple, always seem to draw a crowd (as if a 150 pound dog alone isn't enough).

The last one with her paw on his arm is my favorite :) He is such a good sport to put up with her!

Lily and Vegas went bobbing for hot dogs over the weekend so I feel like the pictures need to be shared! It took more coaxing to get Lily in there but she actually did better than I expected!

Happy Monday!

I've always loved the dresses and skirts made by Glamarita, but this one has me in awe right now. I love it!

I took Lily for a 5.6 mile walk yesterday so she was exhausted. This picture only lasted about 10 seconds, since Lily got annoyed and went to the other side of the couch, but it was cute while it lasted!It's a rainy Monday here, so I'll just be trying to stay dry! Apparently the forecast is pretty rainy all week, so hopefully that means we will have a nice sunny weekend!

Easter Weekend :)

I had a wonderful long weekend! It started off by having falafel Thursday night in Baltimore. It was so delicious! Then Friday was spent visiting my grand mom and parents and getting my dress fitted for the wedding I'm going to May 8th. Oh, and I also picked up my grandmother's ring that she gave me when I turned 20. I have always been afraid to lose it, so I've never worn it. But I decided since I'm going to three weddings this year I may as well wear it! Isn't it pretty??

Then Saturday I volunteered at the MDSPCA again. Picasso is still there, but she seems like a different dog in just a week! She was bouncing all around when I took her outside, and her hair is starting to grow back so she is soft now. I also fell in love with another dog named Heath. He is so sweet and amazingly calm. I wish I could take them all. I also walked another sweet, calm dog named Cletis. When I was walking him there was a family in the parking lot that said they saw him on the website so they came over to pet him. They kept saying how friendly he was, so hopefully they will come back to adopt him.

It was such a beautiful day Lily worked on her tan :)

She was joined by our groundhog, Chuck Norris, and tons of bumble bees that wouldn't leave us alone!

Back to work today but I leave Friday morning to go visit Stacey in Austin! I am so excited!!

Happy Birthday Lily!

Today Lily turns 2! I can hardly believe I've had her for almost 2 years. We celebrated her birthday yesterday, since today is a work day. We started off the day by going to Petsmart so she could pick out a toy. She settled on a pink alligator stuffed toy and a bone. Then when we got home she went across the street and played with Minnie (a year old beagle mix). Next I made Lily's cake from a recipe I got out of the It's A Vegan Dog's Life cookbook.

I gave Lily a piece, which she clearly loved, and then my roommates gave Lily the presents they got for her. She loved them both too! Needless to say, after such a busy day, she was exhausted and ready for bed early!

Princess Lily

So for some reason that is escaping me at this time, I decided to let Lily sleep in my bed last night. First of all, she rearranged herself approximately 20 times because she always has to be as comfortable as possible and is not satisfied easily. Clearly when she does find the right spot after digging and walking around, she plops down as hard as a 13.8 pound dog can. Then at 4:30am she decided it was time to wake up and go outside for a potty break. On the bright side, she did only bark once, which is a record for her. Crazy dog :)

Snow Snow Everywhere

Well on Saturday my town got 39 inches of snow, and then Wednesday we got about another 18. Needless to say this is not typical for Maryland, and this storm (now being considered one so we get federal aid) has already made history. I can't say that I'm thrilled though. And more snow is on the way for Monday. All I can hope for is that Spring gets here quickly! Here are some pictures from my adventures so far in the winter wonderland we are experiencing!
