Lily loves snuggling

I think it's a dachshund thing for sure, and maybe just a dog thing. Lily loves to be as close as possible to anyone she can. She loves to be warm and she will do whatever it takes to get that way. Karim was laying down and Lily used everything she had to wedge her way under his arm. It was pretty adorable, if I do say so myself!

Oh my, the ears!

Lily on the Etsy Veg Blog!

I'm excited to share that Lily is featured as the pet of the week on the Etsy Veg Blog!! A few weeks ago I completed the interview and sent it in. I'm so happy to see it get posted! I'm sure Lily will be very pleased to hear about it too :)
PS moving day is this weekend! I can't believe it snuck up so quickly! Let's see how Lily reacts. It should be interesting to say the least.

It's my dream

that Lily would wear something like this one day :)

In reality, this is how she handles herself when I try to put clothes on her.

Yep, this is her at her graduation WITH her teacher holding her, as she tries to eat her graduation cap.

I tried to get her to wear her devil Halloween costume. She was not amused. And with the raincoat, she just sat there like I was torturing her. Miraculously, I managed to get this picture before she ripped the Snuggie completely off.She likes being naked, what can I say? :)

Shop Update!

I just got done listing a few new cards in my shop! Of course it's another batch of Lily cards :)
The Etsy Teams are all being reformatted so it's renewing my motivation to start being more diligent about the shop. Hopefully the momentum keeps going!

The dachshund team has a new blog! It's a good way for the sellers to show what they're working on and to show off their doxies too!

Another blog you might want to check out is The Dainty Squid. I've really been loving this blog lately, and for the month of November, she is having a giveaway every week! This week it's a handmade hoodie from one of her favorite shops, Mungo Crafts.
Lily got to spend some quality time with her boyfriend, Goober, over the weekend. We were at the Howard County Fairgrounds for a huge craft show. We made a lot of money for the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue! Yay! Of course Lily and Goober aka the odd couple, always seem to draw a crowd (as if a 150 pound dog alone isn't enough).
The last one with her paw on his arm is my favorite :) He is such a good sport to put up with her!
Have a great day :)

Yep . . .

I'm still in an obsessing over rings phase :)
How can I not be with so many amazing rings out there? Here are my favorites of the day.

Carnival ring in sterling silver
Map of Hawaii Photographic Art Ring
Whip cream heart ring
Betsey Johnson 'Betsey's Picnic' Strawberry Statement Ring

Lily and Vegas went bobbing for hot dogs over the weekend so I feel like the pictures need to be shared! It took more coaxing to get Lily in there but she actually did better than I expected!

I'm heading to Ocean City for the weekend so I'm super excited! I hope you enjoy your weekend too :)

Boston Terriers!

I feel like I've been surrounded by adorable Boston Terriers recently! These in particular:

This necklace from All Mighty
This dog bed (I wish the little cutie sleeping on top was included!)
And this card

But of course doxies still have to be first in my heart :)
This necklace seems like a great way to show it
I think Lily would approve!
I also think these necklaces from A.N. Original Jewelry are so cute.
Have a great day :)

Princess Lily

So for some reason that is escaping me at this time, I decided to let Lily sleep in my bed last night. First of all, she rearranged herself approximately 20 times because she always has to be as comfortable as possible and is not satisfied easily. Clearly when she does find the right spot after digging and walking around, she plops down as hard as a 13.8 pound dog can. Then at 4:30am she decided it was time to wake up and go outside for a potty break. On the bright side, she did only bark once, which is a record for her. Crazy dog :)

Hiding!

Has anyone seen Lily?!?

Oh there she is :)

Lily

I managed to get a picture of Lily in her snuggie. She sat nicely for approximately 3 seconds and then proceeded to rip it off with her teeth! At least the picture is cute :)
And a picture of her after our 3 hour hike yesterday. That's a long time for those little legs to carry her! But she is such a trooper. She runs through the streams now with no problem, and she was out in front of me even at the end!

Happy Busy Monday!!

Doxies :)

To celebrate joining the Dachshund Team on Etsy, here are a few of my favorite dachshund related items (from members of the team too!)

This magnet

And this stocking

I was warned that having a dachshund means becoming obsessed with them. I wouldn't call it an obsession though. And if I don't call it that then it must not be :)

Etsy Teams!!!

I joined two Etsy teams yesterday!! I am so excited!

The first team is EtsyVeg. I have been following this blog for a few months now, and I am so honored to now be a part of the team! Growing up in a pretty rural area, it could be tough to find like minded people, but having a group like this really helps me renew my beliefs and reassures me I'm not the only one out there!

The second team is The Dachshund Team. Of course my dachshund, Lily, is a huge part of my life (she makes sure of it!) so it only seemed natural to join this team as well.

Please check out their sites!

And thank you to everyone on both teams for already making me feel so welcome :)

Littlest Pet Shop

I have to be honest, I have been obsessing over how adorable the Littlest Pet Shop toys are lately. I got this dachshund . . . how could I resist? Seriously. And I had to get the panda too!!And I really want this pig!!
I realize the package says ages 4+, but I fit that!! Maybe I'm going through a crisis since I just turned 26. That doesn't take away the fact that they are adorable!
