New Links!

You may have noticed some new links near the bottom of the right side of the page. I decided to link to a few blogs that I enjoy reading.

The first one is probably my favorite blog. It's called A Beautiful Mess and it's written by Elsie Flannigan. She also has the online shop Red Velvet Art. I love their website and actually have blogged about it in the past. She is so creative, it seems almost impossible not to be inspired daily by her posts.

The second is The Dainty Squid. I think I first found out about this blog and Etsy shop via the A Beautiful Mess blog. I've found out about some really cute new sites from this blog, and I generally just enjoy reading about this life of someone who's making their living by being a seamstress and selling their goods on Etsy. Also inspiring. PS I've ordered two pouches from this shop and they are so adorable.

The third is a new blog that I just recently came across. It's called Skunkboy Creatures and there are equally cute and whimsical things there. Her Etsy shop is also really cute!

If you get a chance you should check them out! Let me know what you think of them :)

Almost a new year!

So I know it's lame, and almost destined to fail, but I have two New Year's resolutions.
1. Be more positive. This includes complaining less and getting less angry when I'm driving. I think I'm pretty positive in general, but these are two areas where I feel like I should try to improve. 2. Stop frivolously online shopping. This is the big one. It is going to be so hard I know. But going into debt by ordering jewelry online seems pretty silly. So therefore it is a necessary step. Hopefully it works out!
In 2010 here are a few trips I want to make sure I take too.

1. NY with Karim
2. Austin to visit Stacey
3. Vacation somewhere fun with Karim
4. (Obviously) Ocean City, MD with my sister and Nicole

I'm actually excited to be starting a new year. I hope everyone has a fun and safe New Year's Eve!

Happy Tuesday :)

I've feel like I've been slacking with keeping up with this recently so I apologize. I am going to try to get better!

I am super excited for Christmas! I can't believe it's almost here. I am completely done all of my shopping, and I just need to finish up wrapping a few things that just came in the mail. Lily has already successfully unwrapped a present, destroyed a stocking, and generally been a menace. But that's pretty normal. I actually expected a lot worse.

Oh, and I had my first listing with over 100 views recently :)
Anyway, here are some of the latest items from Etsy that I like right now!

And anything from My Paper Crane
Oh! And I organized a Secret Santa at my work. Yesterday was the first day and my first gift was awesome! I got Skittles (which are now VEGAN! I was so excited when Karim discovered that), a little bandanna for Lily, bubbles and a little animal pencil sharpener! The limit is $5 a day, so my Santa must be a bargain shopper! I can't wait to see what I get today :)

Cameras!

Love this camera charm and pink digital camera from Juicy Couture!

Tomorrow I'm going to New York City for the day!! I'm excited :)

Please hold off rain/freezing rain/sleet/snow. This is one time I will be thankful for an incorrect forecast. Thanks in advance mother nature!

My new sewing table :)

I don't like to gush about my relationship. And I don't really mean to now, but it's almost impossible not to. I got home from work Friday evening and this was waiting for me.
I've been telling Karim for a while now that I wanted a sewing table for my room. So he went and found an antique sewing table. He got all of the rust off of it, then primed and painted it. Then he made the top from scratch and painted it bright pink. Honestly, it could not be more perfect. I was in complete shock when I saw it. It's probably the most thoughtful gift I've ever gotten. Here are some more pictures :)

The note he left me.

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Lily got her picture taken with Santa on Saturday! See my Flickr page for the picture :)

Hiding!

Has anyone seen Lily?!?

Oh there she is :)
